Located conveniently between Hyderabad and Vijayawada – which was one of the reasons I invested – Alakananda is a refreshing escape for exhausted IT folks like myself!

With the majestic Krishna River on one side, Paleru on the second and Koti Lingala temple on the third – this natural setting is a captivating blend of nature & modern amenities.

Dining right by the water, under the open sky, is an experience in itself – the views and the sounds of the river just make every meal feel special, especially when spending time with friends.

The lush greenery, nearby forest areas, and expansive river views create a picturesque and calming environment.

I felt Alakananda is great for families, offering various activities that keep children entertained.

We celebrated my child’s first birthday here with family and friends and it was a memorable occasion for everyone who attended.

Boating & kayaking on the Krishna + Horse riding along the river banks were something unimaginable in a regular layout – adding to the adventure and ensuring there’s something new for energetic youngsters, instead of the usual cricket and basketball that you can play anywhere else.

The place has a wonderful energy for bringing people together and creating unforgettable memories.

Humidity in Andhra is always a concern – and so my family was skeptical about this location too – but to our surprise, while humid, it was nowhere near the level of humidity that we usually see in Vijayawada, Chirala or any other beachfront or coastal Andhra regions – it was closer to Hyderabad atmosphere and quite manageable and did not distract from the overall experience at all.

I particularly love experiencing this place when it’s raining. The views are something special – everything turns so fresh and vibrant and is one of my favorite times to be there.

Alakananda has become our frequent weekend getaway spot.

It’s easy to get to, and each visit feels like a refreshing holiday!
