A close friend who already owns a plot in Alakananda, told me about it several months ago – but I wasn’t looking to invest then, so didn’t study it further.
But it lingered on in my mind due to its rare riverfront location and so when I recently began looking for investments around Hyderabad, Alakananda was on my shortlist.
I visited the property impromptu, while on the way back to Hyderabad from Vijayawada with my family – and even then, I wasn’t close to making a decision, as I was still interested in something closer to Hyderabad.

I typically don’t rush decisions – I had lots of questions & comparisons – and despite this initial excitement, I still took almost two months to decide on proceeding with Alakananda.
The biggest hurdle to get over was a repetitive question by close family & friends who kept asking why I was going 2 to 3 hours from Hyderabad – especially when there are options much closer to the city…
After a lot of back and forth, the answer finally struck me : we should view this project from a completely different perspective, it’s never an apple to apple comparison.
This isn’t a typical real estate investment; it’s an opportunity to create and enjoy a unique lifestyle that is impossible to replicate in concrete jungles like Hyderabad, Bangalore and tomorrow even Amaravati.
When you’re comparing this to projects in Hyderabad, you’re not comparing apples to apples.
I advise any potential buyer to consider this perspective – as I too oversaw this initially…
I went in thinking I’ll buy one plot but ended up buying two – not because of hype, but because it lined up with what I value, that is nature, planning, and a solid growth story.
Another big advantage was its connectivity – just minutes off Hyderabad to Vijayawada highway and with a brand new bridge on the Krishna River right next door, making this a shortcut to Amaravati!
What gave me the final confidence was the developers’ genuine conviction in their vision and their commitment to making it a reality.
Unlike other projects where developers often say whatever it takes to make a sale, I saw true sincerity in AVR sir and his sons – everything was straightforward, with no pressure & clear answers.
I look forward to living here, early mornings by the river & quiet sunset walks as part of daily life.
