Our decision to invest in Alakananda wasn’t made lightly.

In fact, after initial discussions, we had briefly decided NOT to proceed.

But something about the project stayed with us – and after going through several detailed testimonials, we unexpectedly came across one written by someone we personally knew.

We reached out to them directly, and their sincere feedback gave us the clarity we needed.

Despite differing opinions from a few relatives back in India, we chose to trust our instincts and the transparent approach shown by the Alakananda team.

Everything from the responsiveness to the openness during conversations – gave us a sense of quiet confidence.

We completed the entire process remotely, from payment to registration, without ever visiting the site!

And during their US visit, one of the directors personally handed over our documents, which we truly appreciated.

The reasons we were drawn to Alakananda are simple yet rare – it’s one of the only true riverfront gated communities in South India, nestled between two major cities and designed with a resort-style lifestyle in mind.

The confluence of two rivers, the forest along its borders, and the active organic farming make it feel like a place grounded in nature – not just in concept, but in execution.

As a long-term vision, we plan to build our retirement home here when we return to India in the coming years.

We see Alakananda as more than an investment – it’s a lifestyle that brings together natural beauty, spiritual grounding, and thoughtful community living.

It reminds us, in many ways, of Babcock Ranch in Florida – a small, self-sufficient village surrounded by nature.
